A New Tool in the Toolbox

Engineering Excellence

Atlas combines complete technology ownership with advanced power-system modeling and physical microgrid validation. Atlas’ engineers work alongside our partners’ teams to improve system design, reduce integration risk, and prepare projects for deployment.

Atlas Owns the Technology Stack

From chemistry and cell production to complete systems and software controls, Atlas’ in-house team manufactures every layer for performance, reliability, and scale.

An Extension of Your Engineering Team

Atlas combines microgrid and grid-connected power-system expertise with advanced PSCAD, Simulink, and GTSOC modeling, helping your team validate system behavior, reduce integration risk, and move confidently toward deployment.

Atlas’ Dedicated Microgrid for Rapid Validation

Atlas’ on-site microgrid enables our engineers to recreate changing load profiles, validate modeled performance with real-world system feedback, and rapidly refine the solution as utility interconnection requirements evolve, giving your team a dedicated resource to reduce risk before deployment.

The Challenge

AI Loads Don’t Behave Like Traditional Data Centers

AI workloads create rapid, repetitive changes in power demand. These fluctuations occur in seconds and repeat continuously, creating a fundamentally different load profile for the power system supporting the data center.

LOAD SWINGS

Even as AI load profiles tighten, rapid and repetitive swings of up to 20% remain. Unmanaged AI workloads can produce even larger swings, with observed profiles reaching as high as 70%.

The Impact Goes Upstream

Why the Power Swings Matter

Locally, this will damage generators and will not allow grid interconnections.

Generation Chasing the Load

Rapid fluctuations force on-site generation to continuously chase the changing compute demand, risking damage through torsional synchronous oscillation and accelerated equipment wear.

Interconnection Ramp Limitations

Rapid site-level fluctuations exceed ramp-rate limits, creating barriers for interconnection, including maintaining a stable, predictable grid-facing power profile.

Conditioned Power Profile

Atlas acts as a power system filter providing a conditioned power profile for both local generators and grid connections, ensuring you remain within generator ramp limitations and grid connection ramp rate limits.

The Atlas Solution

One System. Whole-Site Stability.

Atlas responds to aggregate facility load buffering rapid changes before they reach generators and the grid.

How It Works

Volatile GPU Loads In.
Stable Power Out.

When GPU demand falls, Atlas LEBRE absorbs excess power. When demand rises, it returns power in milliseconds, transforming rapid load swings into a stable, predictable load for onsite generation and the utility grid.

Matching the Technology to the Problem

A Dedicated Solution for a New Power Problem

Rapid, repetitive AI load swings create a unique power requirement. Atlas combines the fundamental advantages of supercapacitors with purpose-built controls and system architecture to manage continuous operation. Atlas does not replace other technologies; it handles rapid load fluctuations that accelerate equipment wear, allowing each asset to focus on its intended role without being oversized.
